Position Conversational English teachers needed for Thailand, no grammar! Description Most of the schools are secondary level, age 12-18. Thai schools are bigger than you might expect, with 500-2500 kids in them. The level of English in rural Thailand is so low that the applicant won’t be teaching anything too tough. Creating lesson plans to fit the kids is one of the best parts of the whole experience. Eligibility 1. You must be between 21 and 40 years old. 2. English MUST be your first language, if Afrikaans is your first language, a telephonic interview may be requested. 3. You have to have a bachelors degree (or higher) in any field of study.     Start/Finish Dates We are looking for Degree Qualified candidates to Teach in Thailand. No previous teaching experience needed, just a Bachelors degree in any field. Departure Dates: All year round. Big intakes during October/November and April/May for the new school terms A 3 to 5 day training seminar will be held. Applicants will get a package of about 30,000 Baht per month (plus extras – total package is about 38,000 Baht per month with all the extras). Visa Info All applicants will come into Thailand on a Non Imm B visa. Teach Travel Asia will arrange for documents to be sent to the applicant so they can apply for their visa. The visa takes 24 hours, and needs to be done at the Thai embassy in Pretoria. The Entrust TEFL course is a 4 week course that you can complete in Bangkok at a cost of 15,000baht (approx R3, 500.00). Please note, the course fee does not include any accommodation of food. Please speak to your OVC consultant about this option. Option 2 – Great Minds TEFL – Johannesburg, Pretoria and Bloemfontein Great Minds TEFL is a South African based company, offering a 120 hour TEFL course over 4 weeks Monday to Friday or 8 weeks, every Saturday. They are in Pretoria and Johannesburg. Their Discounted OVC Course fee is R4, 500.00. Option 3 – Bay Language Institute – Port Elizabeth & Cape Town Bay Language school is South African based company with many years of experience, offering the TEFL course in Port Elizabeth and Cape Town. They offer a 120 hour course over 4 weeks Monday to Friday 08:30 to 15:00 or 16 weeks Monday to Friday 17:00 to 19:00.  Their discounted OVC Course fee is R4, 500.00. Option 4 - TESOL Online Course This Course is available for those who would like to do an Online Course at your own pace in the comfort of your home. The Special OVC Course fee is R4, 750.00 and includes the two week practical training by Entrust TEFL in Bangkok ****Please note, people with a degree does not have to complete a Teachers Certificate. It however can assist in lesson planning and preparation for classes.
