You can set sail on the job opportunity of a lifetime! Complete a 3-week Cruise Ship Photography course to become a Cruise Ship photographer.

Our partners are working with some of the world’s leading cruise lines, as well as South African based recruitment companies to better your chances of a photographic career at sea! The Cruise Ship Photography course is designed according to their technical standards and the only South African training certificate accepted by the cruise ship photographic industry.

Eligibility

- Must be the age of 21-35 years old
- No visible tattoos – if you have any, please discuss this with your consultant
- Must have a passion for Photography
- Fit and healthy – no chronic illness or medication
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment will be a bonus
- Clear Criminal Record
- Able to speak, read and write fluent English
- Willingness to live and work on-board international cruise ships
- Valid Passport

Start/Finish Dates

Year-round vacancies
Once you have completed the 3-week Cruise Ship Photography training, you will be put forward for interviews with the various Cruise Lines.  This process can take up to a few months to receive a job offer and get all of your medicals and visas done.

Visa Info

Our partners will take you through this entire process, you will only need to apply for your visa once you have received a job offer from the Cruise Line.

Application

1. Apply online through the application link sent to you by your nearest OVC office.
2. If you are eligible, your nearest OVC office will call you to make an appointment for a Skype interview with the Program Manager to conduct a pre-screening assessment.
3. If you are successful after the pre-screening assessment, you will be put forward for an interview with our Partners.
4. Your application will be submitted to our partner agency who will either accept or decline your application. The Program Manager will advise you of the final outcome, once submitted.
5. Once accepted by our Partner Agency, you will need to decide on the date of the course that you would like to attend (details attached)
6. Once you have completed the 3-week Cruise Ship Photography course, your profile will be put forward to the various Cruise liners that our Partner Agency recruits for.
7. If accepted by the Cruise Liner after the final interview, our partners will advise you on the process of medicals, visas and placement on the ship. It is important to know that OVC is not involved in this part of the process as we do not deal directly with the Cruise Liners.
