Cruise Ships - Photography Course
Position
The first of its kind in South Africa - Complete a 3 week photography course aimed at meeting the criteria of employment as a Photographer on an international cruise liner. On qualifying from the course, if all documentation is in place according to our partners terms and conditions, you will be offered a position as a Photographer on a cruise liner. Get a free flight to your destination and earn a minimum wage of $700 plus commission per month!! This wage is only as a new hire, as you move up this will increase. Work onboard some of the worlds most celebrated Cruise Liners and travel to many exciting destinations. Description
2 or 3 week Photographic Course in Cape Town (Affordable accommodation and transport can be arranged).
On completion of your course, qualified photographers will be offered employment on a cruise liner, with a contract of up to 6 months or more.
Please note that you will need to pass the Cruise Liner job interview before being allowed to sign up for the Photography Course.
Eligibility
You must be over 21, have a good command of the English language and be well groomed.
You should also have basic communication skills in 1 of the following languages:
(Basic, meaning you should be able to to say more than just hello. You should be able to direct guests around the ship, explain to them how to pose for photos and have a basic understanding of their needs)
Spanish
Portuguese
German
French
Italian
You must have a creative eye and enjoy photography.
No visible Tattoo’s or piercings are allowed.
You must be medically fit, i.e. no chronic medication such as Diabetes, Epilepsy, Asthma, etc.
You must have a valid South African or EU passport and have no criminal record.
Start/Finish Dates
Contracts are 8 months long with renewable contracts based on performance appraisals.
Visa Info
Crew visas (American C1/D) can only be arranged once a job offer has been made and a letter of employment has been issued.
Additional Schengen Visas may be required for South Africa passport holders if they join a ship in Europe.

More Info
Most vessels have a number of facilities for crew to enjoy in their off time, such as the crew restaurant, gym, computer centre and spa (during certain hours). You would possibly need to share a cabin. Couples are not guaranteed to be placed together.
Do NOT apply if you are not prepared for hard work and long hours!!
Each applicant is considered on his/her individual merits. Please note that you will be interviewed for the Cruise Liner job and will only be allowed to do the photographic course if you pass the interview/psychometric test and the medical.
Applicants under 21 will not be accepted.
