We are always looking for Bartenders and Waitrons/Chefs/Hostesses with minimum 1 yrs CURRENT experience.
There is a REGISTRATION FEE of R 6 500 - R 10 500 (depending on Rate of exchange and the employer we use in the Middle East and Qatar) that is Payable, However we only accept payment for this once you have been offered a position and you have accepted the position. In some instances in our Career program you will be required to pay a deposit of $300 - $400 upfront to be put forward. Please speak to your consultant to hear more about it.
CONTRACTS: Please note most contracts that are offered are initially for a 2 year period. Please be prepared to travel for 2 years.
OVC works with a number of established Restaurants in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Bahrain. This program works on a demand basis only. Please complete an online application. Your CV will then be circulated to the employers in UAE and beyond, and you will be notified if you have been selected for a SKYPE interview.
ALL positions include a tax-free salary. The salary depends on the position and contract offered.
Employers usually pay for your entire airfare and depending on your contract, included will be free airfare home after every year/ 2 years.
Depending on your position, you will be sharing with other employees. Accommodation is usually arranged for you and is simple but neat and clean. Please check with your consultant or your contract as some employers will give you a living out allowance over above your salary. This will mean that you have to organise your own accommodation.
Important to know salaries start at approx AED1200 to AED3000 per month. Excluding any service charges/Tips. However this varies from employer to employer.

Must have a minimum of 1 Years CURRENT Hospitality - Well groomed -
All passport holders are welcome, but you must reside in SA
An energetic, enthusiastic personality
You may be requested to take medical tests before you depart. These will include, TB, HIV, HEP A & C and Pregnancy. If you have paid any deposits and you fail one of the medical tests, no deposits will be refunded.
All medical tests are at your own expense and can be done anywhere.
This program runs throughout the year, when employers request staff.
Visa - To work in the middle east you need a work permit. Your employer will apply and pay for it. This will be transferred into a residence visa once you arrive at you employment and have passed a medical test (HIV, TB and Hepatitis are the main tests conducted).
Please understand that you can expect huge delays in your visa application. It can take 2 weeks to 5 months to get a visa. This is completely out of OVC hands as the permit is applied for by your employer in the Middle East.
Benefits - Salaries are tax-free and paid in local currency, the Arab Emirates Dirham (AED), linked to the US$. Furnished accommodation is usually provided. If not, an allowance will be paid. Medical insurance will be covered and depending on the position, either an annual or biannual air ticket is provided, along with an annual or monthly service bonus.

Please hand your details in to your nearest OVC office and you will be sent an email containing possible job positions available. Please note, should the employers come to SA for interviews, it could be in any of the 3 major cities (Durban, Johannesburg or Cape Town). If you are wanting to attend the interview, you will need to get yourself to the city where they are being held. Please also note:
1.) Venues, times and dates of interviews will only be given to clients once they have registered with OVC.
2.) Take the correct documents with you to the interviews, as prescribed by OVC.
3.) Interviews can last the whole day, so be advised to rather put in a days leave to avoid any inconvenience.
4.) When attending interviews, only the venue is provided, no refreshments. Please bring your own refreshments if required.
5.) OVC has no control over the way in which the interviews get conducted, as every company/recruiter does it in their own way. Interviews can be conducted in a group, or individually.

At July 2012, the population estimate was approx. 5.3 million. 80-85% Of the population is made up of expatriates – Arab, Asian, European and others. Weather - Sunny blue skies throughout the year. June to September is hot and humid, with temperatures averaging above 40 degrees Celsius. The weather is pleasant from October to May. All vehicles and buildings are air-conditioned. Language - The official language is Arabic, however English is spoken, especially in the Hospitality Industry. Both Arabic and English are commonly used in business and commerce.
