Would you like to create a new life for yourself or your family, in a safe and secure first world country? OVC offers an opportunity to study, work and live in New Zealand. You can enrol for a one year Business Management Diploma or a one year Hospitality Management Diploma at a top Auckland Business and Hospitality School. Upon graduation you will be eligible for an open work permit. The college will assist you to find work and will apply for your work permit on your behalf. Should you wish to then stay on in New Zealand you will be on an approved pathway to residency, and after 5 years.... citizenship! - Do not forget that New Zealanders can live in Australia too.
If you would like to invest in your future, upgrade your skills, gain an internationally recognised diploma in either Hospitality Management or Business Management, through a well established and reputable institution, then this is for you. It is an incredible opportunity. What is more, you can work while you study and upon graduation you will be assisted in obtaining a professional work placement and open work permit. This is a genuine and logical step to a brilliant future in a growing first world country. In most cases, it is the most cost effective, and often the only way, to get into New Zealand.
Courses are New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA) approved Level 5. The Edexcel courses allow you to pathway on to a Btec degree if you choose. National Business Diploma, 1 year. (Tuition Fee NZ$ 12 000) - Preparation for small to medium sized business administration. Specialized training in business planning, communication, financial analysis, accounting, administration, HR, marketing, quality and time management. Employment opportunities in management, marketing, HR, office and accounts administration.
Edexcel Business Diploma, 1 year. (Tuition Fee NZ$ 14 500) - This diploma runs parallel to the National Diploma but is at a slightly higher level, with potential to study a second year (level 6) or to pathway to a BTec degree at international universities.
Edexcel Hospitality Diploma, 1 year. (Tuition fee NZ$ 17 000) - Specialized training in hospitality skills, food and beverage management, rooms management, accounting, HR, quality management, sales and marketing. Employment opportunities in event, hotel, resort and bar management. This course allows the student to continue to level 6 (year 2), which comprises 6 months full-time study, followed by a fully paid and arranged, 6 month internship.
***NOTE - Immigration Policy Changes will come into effect on 1 April 2012 making it a requirement that students complete a two year diploma before they receive a graduate work permit. For this reason, it may be wise to apply for this study program before 1 April 2012.

| Eligibility |
| To be eligible you need to have passed matric or an equivalent qualification, and must demonstrate a good command of the English language. You could apply at any age over 18 and would need no previous experience. It is important to make sure that you have a passport that is valid for at least two years. |

The Hospitality & Business courses have five intakes during 2012: Dates 2012 - 13 February, 19 March, 30 April, 23 July, 8 October Study terms are similar to those in South Africa and holidays between terms are of similar length - allowing sufficient opportunity to explore the spectacular New Zealand scenery and enjoy its diverse culture. |

OVC will assist you to apply for a New Zealand study visa once you have registered, been accepted for a course of study and paid the relevant fees. The student visa allows you to work for up to 20 hours per week and full time in your student holidays. It is important to allow for 6-8 weeks for your study registration and your visa application to be accepted and approved. It will be required that you or a sponsor provide some proof of funds for your visa application. You will also be required to have a police clearance certificate and to visit a designated doctor for a medical examination and x-ray before your visa is approved.

APPLICATION FEE R500. This is payable to your OVC office and is for assitance with enrolment and the visa application process. OVC will also make your travel arrangements and issue your travel and medical insurance. We will need a copy of your passport and your matric certificate and any other higher qualification certificates. Once a conditional offer of acceptance has been made you will need to pay the first years course fees in full to receive your registration documents. These are needed before you can apply for the student visa.

In New Zealand you will receive an orientation and assistance with all aspects of settling and living in New Zealand. You will be met at the airport and taken to your accommodation, which will be arranged before you arrive. You will be offered assistance with finding employment while you study to support yourself as a student and you will also be assisted in finding employment and with the processing of your work permit after graduation.
