Graduate Diploma in Strategic Management Level 7
(tuition fee NZ$16 500). This diploma is a one year graduate diploma. To be eligible for acceptance, you need to have a Bachelors Degree. All B Degrees from any university will be considered for acceptance for this course. Modules included in the course: Business Ethics, Managing Change, Quality Management, Understanding Business Environments, Strategic Management and Project Management. Develop the ability to think and manage strategically. (NOTE - Only Feb and Jul intakes available).
Diploma in Professional Cookery (Professional Chef) Level 5
(tuition fee NZ$ 18 000 year 1, NZ$ 16 000 year 2) This is a two year (80 weeks) diploma. Learn the advanced skills required to work as a professional chef in the hospitality industry. This course includes cookery fundamentals, hospitality service, restaurant cookery, commercial kitchen management, menu development, management in the development of culinary products and services, current cookery innovations, management principles of F&B service, and concepts of food production management. Students can choose to major in Patisserie or Gastronomy. The second year of this diploma contains a 600 hour fully paid internship. The internship placement is arranged by the college and offers the perfect platform for a professional full-time placement after graduation, while also allowing students to earn some NZ$’s through full-time employment in the final year. The internship placement is arranged by the college. Professional Cookery is in very high demand in NZ and throughout the world, chef skills are highly sought after.
Diploma in Applied Hospitality Management Level 6
(tuition fee NZ$17 000 year 1 and NZ$ 8 000 year 2). This is a two year (80 week) diploma. An industry relevant Management Diploma that would suit anyone interested in pursuing a career in the hotel, resort, restaurant, catering, event, banqueting and functions industries. Specialized training in hospitality skills, food and beverage management, rooms management, accounting, HR, quality management, sales and marketing. The second year of this diploma consists of 6 months full-time study, followed by a 6 month fully paid internship. It is an excellent opportunity to arrange a full-time employment position before graduating. The internship placement is arranged by the college.

Eligibility
To be eligible, you need to have passed Matric or an equivalent qualification, and must demonstrate a good command of the English language. For the Graduate Diploma in Strategic Management, you need to hold a Bachelors Degree (in any field). You could apply at any age over 18 and you need no previous work experience.
Start/Finish Dates
Intake dates: There are 4 intake periods, Feb, May, Jul and Oct.
**Study terms and holidays are of similar length to those in S Africa.
Visa Info
OVC will assist with your NZ Study Visa. It allows 20 hrs work per week and full-time work over Dec/Jan holidays. The application takes 2 - 6 weeks. You or a sponsor will need to show proof of funds. A medical examination and a police clearance will be required.

Application
APPLICATION FEE R1000. Payable to your nearest OVC office, for enrolment and visa assistance. OVC will assist with your travel arrangements and travel medical insurance. You will need a passport, valid for at least 2 years, a Matric certificate or any other higher qualification certificates. Once you receive a conditional offer of acceptance, you will be able to make payment for the first years course fees and will then receive your registration documents. These are needed before we can apply for your Student Visa.

You will receive an orientation and assistance with all aspects of settling in and living in New Zealand. All students will be met at the airport and taken to their accommodation, which will be arranged before arrival. For more information, please contact your nearest OVC office.
